Hey readers! In celebration of my first live reading in NYC, The Devil's Temptation will be ABSOLUTELY FREE for TWO DAYS! On May 16th and 17th, you can get my latest ebook at zero cost! Don't miss it!

Did a few covers of Sara Bareilles songs. I love these tunes; you never hear them anywhere, but they're fantastic.

I've been singing a lot lately, so here: an original song written and sung by me called "Take Me Away," and a cover of James Vincent McMorrow's "If I Had a Boat."

Woohoo! One of my #twittershorts will be published on this awesome site this week! Stop by, check it out, spread the word, then write your own #twittershorts! Don't forget the hashtag!

On Thursday, May 17 at 6:00pm, myself and the other contributors from the collection "HOT MESS" will do brief readings, followed by an audience discussion about the human costs of climate change and a book signing! Cost of admission is $7 and includes a drink! This will take place at the Cornelia Street Cafe in NYC. Stop by and have a listen!
Check out the FB event page here!

For just THREE DAYS in April, The Devil's Temptation will be available on Amazon EXCLUSIVELY! Simply go to its page on Amazon on April 26th, 27th or 28th, and download it with 1-Click! It's that simple! Make sure to get your free copy and spread the word!

Hot Mess, the climate change anthology collaboration that I participated in, is now available in both paperback (on CreateSpace and Amazon) and ebook versions.
"In Between the Dark and the Light," which is my story in the collection, is a step away from horror and towards sci-fi action thriller. It takes us into the not-too-distant future, where the Earth has grown too hot from the sun's rays and actions must be taken to travel to a new planet in order to survive. But not everyone will gain transport to this almost-paradise: only people born on The Day will make it out alive. This proves problematic for Brett Zerum, who must figure out a way to save his daughter from her impending termination while dealing with the recent loss of his wife.
In a world where sunlight can incinerate him and the government is after him, can Brett make it to Rapterelysia with his daughter, or will they both face their deaths at the hands of the so-called "President"?
Please check out the entire collection; it's chock full of brilliant stories by amazing writers and a portion of the proceeds of all purchases go to supporting climate-related charities!
The best ways to support us are via Smashwords and CreateSpace, which take less of a proportion of the sales and allow us to give more to charity, but any and all downloads are appreciated. Amazon and Barnes & Noble are other options for supporting our collaborative effort, Hot Mess.

I took the plunge! I got a Tumblr! Follow me, reblog, connect!

Here's the third installment of Dead Inside trivia!
  • When Sylvana Bane goes to retrieve the mail, she sings "The Mail Song" from Blue's Clues (as do I).
  • I made Daniel Flynn a security guard in tribute to a friend in Chicago.
  • "Mortoxin" literally means "death drug," which I invented in school for a writing exercise.
  • The phone number for Hayter Industries is a real number...for an Oregon movie theater.

Time for more Dead Inside trivia!
  • Dead Lake, where Daniel and Jane Flynn reside, is a real place in upstate New York.
  • The red house that the Flynns bought is based on the house my family and I lived in about seven years ago, in CT.
  • “Egyptian Blackjack” is a nickname for “Anubis21,” which is a username I used a long time ago (my favorite Ancient Egyptian god and my favorite number).
  • “Marek” is named after a character in Michael Crichton’s Timeline.
